i am bored. i am procrastinating. i am lazy. i don't want to do my presentation slides.

so i decided to blog about random happenings! :D

wah i miss my long hair!!! :(

didn't realised it was so long until i browsed my old pictures.

my hair is darn short now and it's super "qiao" because of the layers~

i promise myself i'm gonna rebond + dye my hair when it grows back to that long length!

my mom is so cute. she just loves to give us some jing bao surprises.

she just ordered a 32" LCD flat screen tv for my room + there's a free dvd player!

attention all girlfriends, you all are invited for a movie marathon anytime! :P

and guess what? i officially have NO MORE classes in TP anymore. yahoo!

i'm now left with a presentation next tues and an exam paper next fri and THAT'S IT.

mom took leave for the week after my exams.. i can foresee lots of shopping & eating!!

i have yet to spend my Robinsons voucher! i wanna get cosmetics!

i applied for both NTU and NUS just a few days ago.. haha~

aiya my GPA is not that great but just try my luck lor!

God works in amazing ways so i'll never know until i TRY! :D

for NTU, my choices are:

1. communication studies
2. business
3. education a.k.a NIE!

haha, my mom said i was mad when i told her i applied for NIE. lol~

but i had 5 choices ma and i didn't want to waste any so i just put, haha.

i will decide again if i get accepted, mohoho!

for NUS, i chose FASS and biz administration, only 2 cos the rest i have no interest.

i won Anna Sui's Flight of Fancy fragrance from CLEO magazine!!!

joined the SMS contest in their dec '07 issue and received the letter today.

this is so cool man. i've never worn anything from a magazine before!

hehe.. it's the biggest size they're giving and it's worth 100 bucks.

so can't wait to collect & use it!

when this first came out, i was so attracted to the unique peacock bottle cover!

the fragrance is really sweet too, i sampled it at an anna sui counter.

i really wanted this but as you know, AS's fragrances cost a bomb!

and the 2 dolly girls i own have not even reached half-finished yet.

weeee! this is such a perfect vday gift! :)

how has everyone's Chinese New Year been? :)

mine has been great so far although i'm not very hyped up about everything.

the visiting was done only on day 1 so i stayed home today to finish up my major project report.

we decided to let Grandma have a rest this year.

so the family went out to have reunion dinner at Changi Beach Club's The Palms.

we were eating right next to the beach!

but too bad it was pitch dark outside so we couldn't see a thing.

we're going back for crabs next time in the evening! :)

dish 1: lou hei! i love the crackers & raw salmon.

dish 2: sharks fin soup with all the "hao liao" inside, abalone & huge mushrooms!

dish 3: cod fish with black beans, super fresh & smooth cod fish yummyyy.

dish 4: wasabi mayo prawns & diced chicken, wasabi mayo is my new love!

dish 5: beancurd skin with pork & fa cai, so-so only not my type of dish.

dish 6: noodles which i was too full to finish but i still finished -_-

dish 7: dessert was nian gao, we wanted orh nee at first!

~ CNY Day 1 ~

red nails to welcome the lunar new year! :)

lunch at 2+pm cos me & my sis woke up at 1pm ah!!!

granny whipped up lunch and it was shiok as usual.

at about 6pm,

my cousin & gu gu came to fetch us to my dad's side for our yearly cny gathering!

the little ones are growing up too fast!

of the ones present yesterday, i have 3 nieces and 5 nephews.

including the ones not present, i think i have about 10 nieces & newphews!

and the eldest of all is already secondary one.

gosh, am i growing old or what!!!

Joey & Lynn left quite early and along came Ecia!

she's such a pretty doll!!! she looks like a eurasian in real life and has really pretty wavy hair.

we had a mini drawing session and i gave her different themes to draw.

i taught her how to play cooking mama on my cousin's nintendo ds.

and when she failed the stage cos she was too slow, cooking mama had fire in her eyes.

Ecia then asked me "why she so angry!!" and i was like o_o how to reply you, haha!

she was so scared of the fire in the eyes that she didn't want to play anymore lol.

after a few seconds, she told me "i want to try again, one last time.." HAHA, total cuteness!

i also taught her that a RAINBOW has 7 letters so it has 7 colours, lol.

left around 11+pm and it's home sweet home for me!!

CNY has always been a gathering for my extended family and it's so heartwarming to be there.

my uncle's flat will be filled to the brim with my uncles, aunties, cousins and the little ones!

i think there'll be another gathering next week at my 6th aunt's house, yayyy~

time to go slp now, gathering at claire's place tmr night! :)

this week we're only going on fri becos i have to go for a seminar with janet tmr.

i just checked my exam timetable, my FINAL EXAM PAPER IN TP!!!

it's on the 22nd feb, that's my one & only exam paper for this sem - principles of marketing.

after that, I'M FREE! i might be going to bangkok with the family~

hk might be postponed till after i work & earn enough money for me to spend there haha.

eh and i feel like buying a trucker cap so i don't have to worry abt bad hair days.

but i don't know if i'll look weird in it! i gotta go try it on in stores one day.

2.5 more wks to CNY, 3.5 more wks left in teepee!!!!

so fast right, i can't believe it.

nothing much has been going on recently.

my life is revolving around projects, projects and projects!

bought Ayu's new album, GUILTY last thursday, woohoo~

i really love the album cover and the double sided poster.

the DVD was really nice as well.

Ayu never fails to amaze me with her releases!

some food i ate last week that is worth posting up, haha!

Sugar Loaf for lunch last monday after cmsk class.

i had the coriander chicken rice, this tasted not bad but nothing much to rave about.

after the rice, we were itching for something else.

how could we resist the pretty desserts on display at the counter!

some berries pie, it has sponge cake in the inner layer, VERY GOOD!

fruity tart, i really like this! it's so much better than Delifrance's~

brownie with a thiccck layer of choc on top, which i scraped off haha.

Botak Jones for dinner last Friday after doing some work in school.

they recently opened a new branch at Bedok (YAY) so we HAD to try it!

claire's botak burger! she had a hard time figuring out how to eat this.

janet's fish & chips, 2 big pieces! very very worth the price.

my cajun chicken which is one of their signature dish. it was so-so only~

we paid $5 for a mountain of leaves aka caesar salad.

I'M GOING SWIMMING WITH CLAIRE & JANET TMRW! :)

we are gonna start this weekly twice-a-week swimming regime, hee~

i'm blogging at such a crazy hour because i woke up at 4pm today!

that's because i was at Highlife's Watchnight a.k.a Countdown 07/08 on the 31st.

i had such a fun time there!!! poly area sang a song and showed a video we made. :)

i really loved the worship time we had at 1+am! it was really high man, love it!

piccas up soon! i must bug zx to send me haha.

here's what i've been up to for the last few weeks of 2007...

i came home from camp on 17th dec and my mom broke the news to me.

my dearest grandpa passed away in Melbourne on the 15th of dec.

he was there for a holiday but didn't feel well for many days after he arrived.

all i can say is, even though he has left us physically, he still and will always live in my heart.

Grandpa was always full of smiles, nobody would have guessed he was down with cancer.

i am so glad i went to accompany him every saturday for the past 3 years.

the 2 months long melbourne trip with him, the countless outings and meals we had together.

he even got to celebrate his 80th birthday this year. :)

Grandpa was brought home to S'pore on 20th dec and we were busy with the wake & funeral.

my sis & i made photo collages of the past 3 years that we spent with Grandpa.

all i can say is my Grandpa was such a patient, loving and happy man.

he loved everyone of us in the family, especially my grandma. :)

my auntie shared this sweet little story with us during the wake..

my grandma's birthday was on the 12th of dec.

she went out marketing in the morning to get groceries.

my grandpa reminded my aunty to make red eggs which is a tradition in the family.

but they didn't have red paint in their melbourne house.

so they wrote messages on the eggs instead.

and my grandpa wrote "Happy Birthday, Darling" on his egg to grandma.

that's him, my grandpa - romantic in a silent way!

he will always stay in my heart and i'll always remember him as a doting grandpa. :)

I LOVE YOU GRANDPA! i'm sure you're safe in God's hands now in heaven.

HIGHLIFE CAMP 2007 - INSIDE OUT

i had so much fun during the camp!!!

got to know so many people from Highlife and make friends with them.

we had many workshops (messages), games and good food during the meal times!

we lived in small little huts at Costa Sands Resort, Sentosa.

a hut had 4 people and my room mates were people i didn't know before.

but they were just soo nice! amelia, sophie and lydia! :)

we had so much junk food in our room HAHAHA.. doritos, sugar biscuits, chips..

and then during the night we had the experential workshop..

we had a waiting time of like 4-5 HOURS!!!

zx, esther and amanda came over to my hut to chitchat & camwhore hahaha.

we took silly photos + jumping pics + talk crap all the way till like 2am.

and we had NASI LEMAK for supper at 2+am in the morningggggggg~

the last night was performance night and my group won best performance!!!

hehehe, the script of our mime was written by me in 10 mins during lunch wahaha.

and i had an experience with God i have never had before.

it was just so exciting. i even gave a testimonial on the last day!

i don't even know how i got the courage to do that, i'm sure it was God! :D

i feel that i've grown so much spiritually during this camp..

God has planted something in me, something like a new beginning!

a new beginning where i will start to grow closer to Him.

4 days passed so quickly! a group of us went for lunch at Carl's Junior after we left camp.

we forced wee kiat to do the para para dance at the arcade after lunch WAHAHA.

the video footage was later used for the watchnight video.. lol!

OUTING WITH POLY BABIES

the girlies planned a whole day of activities for me, wanting to liven up my spirits!

they gave me strips of clues as the day went by, and i had to guess our next location.

hahaha, so cute of them right! i had NO DIFFICULTIES guessing the clues at all lor!

lol, pls ah.. next time make the clues more challenging!!! :D

station 1 - lunch at The Manhatten Fish Market

i had the 9.90 fish & chips set lunch, soup was shrimp peas (!?!) and the drink was huge!

we got ripped off by ordering the Garlic Butter Prawns, $10.90 for 5 pathetic prawns!

station 2 - singapore river

gifts exchange there!

claire gave us souveniors from her brisbane trip & a HANDSEWN DOMO POUCH each!!!

she gave me a purple babydoll top from valleygirl & some nougats!

the domo-kun pouch is really very very cute and well done man.

i suggested that she do more of these to sell hahahaha.

after some camwhoring, they gave me station 3's clues!

station 3 - bugis

knowing that i needed to get jeans badly, they brought me there! hehehe.

went to get my black jeans & a grey denim skirt over at bugis street.

shopped around for another 1-2 hours before they gave me my last clue.

station 4 - ice monster @ bencoolen street

our dessert time!!! ice monster, janet wanted to bring us here for very long.

this place sells taiwan ice shaved desserts!

we had a mixed fruit one that has kiwi, strawberry, mango and mango sherbet.

it was really gooooooood! very very refreshing & sweet, yum yum!

after dessert, we took a bus down to orchard cos i'm gonna meet my sis.

we went to cotton on and then parted our ways cos i'm going for isetan private sale with sis.

it was damnnn crowded over at the sale, it doesn't even look private pls.

nevertheless, i managed to get a top that i really love at 50% discount woohoo!

left orchard at 9+pm after a light snack at mac's! :)

it's gonna be a new phase of my life, i'm 20 already!

- family vacation trip

- university: new school, new environment, new friends

- my 20th bday

- '08 highlife camp in june

and here's what i hope to achieve during the year 2008...

- get into a uni course that i want, either marketing or communications!

- a vacation job that is interesting HAHA since uni starts in aug

- more participation in Highlife events!

- save more money, cut down on shopping..

- read & study the bible

had a day out with tanya & germz today!

nanny picked me up from school after my presentation~

we made our way to AMK Hub to meet germzie for lunch.

fiddled around with the GPS system, the lady's voice was really irritating HAHA!

finally got there after getting directions from germzie!

we went to junction 8 to have our lunch @ sakae sushi...

it was a yummy lunch! i had a chicken don and we shared some side dishes~

made our way back to amk hub cos me & tanya wanna get some stuff from TFS!

must buy from germz cos get VIP discount wahahaha~

after staying in the shop for quite awhile, me & nanny decided on what we wanted.

we bought $40 worth of products each so we got the membership card! :D

both of us got the White Jewel scrub and a different moisturizer each.

i really love all of TFS's products! they all smell and look so nice.

will definitely go back again to stock up on my skincare the next time round! :)

after leaving TFS, tanya & i walked around the mall...

bought a super mod-looking pair of patent wedges from Mondo for just 10 bucks!!!

woopee, i really love getting those 10 bucks shoes man~

cos if i grow tired of it, don't have to feel guilty also, can just chuck it aside haha.

nanny went crazy shopping at this really big apparel shop!!!

she bought like 1 top, 1 jacket and 1 dress at one go, hahaha!

but they all looked really nice & pretty on her, two thumbs up!

especially the BOUNCY DRESS, lol.. damn cute~ i like that one the most.

and then after she bought her cardigan AND a pair of maryjanes, we finally headed home.

it was a really fun & simple day and i enjoyed myself!

i must enjoy my weekend cos it's back to school next week :(

i have ALOT on hand to do, projects, reports etc etc. sigh!!!

trying VERY hard not to stress myself up and to relax and take things as it goes~

22nd Nov was my aunt's birthday!

we went to Din Tai Fung @ Raffles City to have lunch. :)

crazies, don't say i never wear the mng top that you girlies gave me for my bday!

my sis was having really terrible cramps, she did not even eat a single thing.

we had to head back home straight after lunch cos she really had to lie down & rest.

received my Majolica Majorca items in the mail when i came home!!! so fast~

MM is a brand under Shiseido and it's only available in Japan & TW if i'm not wrong.

after trying on the lipstick, i was in love with it!

i was lemming badly for more items from Shiseido after surfing JPMon.com!

and lucky for me, there was a spree for it in the night hahaha~

went home after that.. cos it was already 9+pm!

had a good day with them! lots of catching up done with the two of them.

right now i'm looking forward to this coming week...

because it's the birthdays of both my best friends - Tricia & ZX!

ZX's celebration will be on monday night, dinner at Giraffe~

there's gonna be lots of pple coming and i'm excited!

cos i get to see so many old friends from sec sch and also friends from cell haha.

ahh! i've been so busy with my sprees & major project that i didn't update for this week!

i sepnt 3 whole hours baking them and i was so sian of waiting~

first, we had lunch at Marche and we were fascinated by the pretty interior decor!

we sat in this "cottage room" that has very cosy seats~ i love the furniture they used!

i had a garlic pork sausage with baked potato and a mushroom soup.

ailing also had the mushroom soup with rosti, her sausage was damn long HAHA.

the mushroom soup was SUPERB! thiiiiccck and creeaaammmyy oooh lala~

after we finished our main meal, i was still greedy so i asked ailing to share a crepe with me.

we had the Banana Caramel Chocolate Crepe and it tasted REAL GOOD MAN.

i totally enjoyed my meal at Marche!!! everything was good and the ambience was fantastic.

after lunch we embarked on our shopping spree.

but i didn't buy anything except for a $2.50 butterfly ring from Diva!

haha, ailing wore her's on that day and i commented it was really pretty.

so she ask me to go and buy! lol.. $2.50, what a steal lor! :D

we tried on this super nice top at Topshop! i love the turquoise colour~

but i didn't buy it la haha. control!!!

yawn! i'm waiting for time to pass cos i wanna watch a TV show at 1am.

haha.. so i have like 1/2 hour to waste before i tuck nicely into bed for the show.

alright so today i went to church for 3 hours in the afternoon.

went there to learn how to use the software needed for my VA duty.

i'm officially joining the VA ministry this month for attachment!

hopefully i'll learn more things and grow more spiritually as the time passes.

went to meet my mom & sis for dinner at Ikea after that~

had the usual meatballs and yummy chicken wings!

walked around after dinner cos we were so full.

the place wasn't very crowded and we had quite a good time looking at stuff.

at the end of the night, mom bought me a new laptop table for my room!

haha.. my current table is big (& messy) and taking up way too much of my room space.

this new one is half its size and i'm gonna decor it with ayu pictures & anna sui adverts!

i also bought a huge blue box with lotsa compartments to put my accessories.

they're cluttering up my whole dressing table + drawer, need to organise all of 'em!

ok.. i shall go pack my accessories now! tomorrow will be both my study tables' turn, haha.

i think they must have thought that we won't go for our Dim Sum dinner.

but we still did! cos we were waiting for this day since forever! :D

it was raining very heavily when we were at McDonald's doing the transferring.

went for my Major Project Briefing in school this morning.

it was really sort of a nice feeling to be sitting in the LT once again.

have been about more than 1/2 a year since i've attended any lectures or tutorials!

i feel so excited about going back to being a student for the very last semester.

you know, 3 years just passes by like that.. it's really quite overwhelming!

in about 5 months' time, everyone will be wearing our graduation gowns saying goodbye to TP.

the guys will go and serve the nation while the girls will either work or further their studies.

it's funny how now, we can memorise where all the LTs and labs are.

we know all the shortcuts to everywhere in school.

we know which school's canteen sells the best western food.

we know all our lecturers by name and their personalities.

when i was in year 1, i even had problems reading my own timetable haha!

i must say that being in poly is definitely a great experience as a student. :D

really hope i will make the best out of my last sem in school!!! time flies!!!

met up with my chapati buds at Simei and we had lunch at 18 Chefs!

i DIY-ed my own baked rice - Panfried Dory Fish with Garlic White Sauce~

the set consisted of a drink and Cream of Brocolli soup with garlic bread.

we also ordered the Calamari as side dish.. it was so chewy that we couldn't bite it apart!

and then the weekend passed by in a BLINK, it's back to work again!

last whole week, claire & my supervisors weren't at work so we had quite abit of fun.

we had lunch at Ichiban Boshi, my first time there but i will definitely go back for more!

went to DFS to look-see before heading to FEP for some walking around~

bought two gold bangles! and i don't find clothes in S'pore attractive anymore.

haha, online shopping is 9237261 times more attractive and fun!

bah! we never fail to take loads and tonnes of pictures whenever we head out...

oh yes! i bought my Anna Sui moisturising body lotion!

it smells sooo good (rose scent) and it last on my skin for the entire day.

most importantly, the bottle is so PRETTY! :)

finally got down to editing the pics from Grandpa's 80th on 1st Sept.

we went for dinner at Honjin for Japanese cuisine and charcoal grill.

Grandpa was paying and the buffet was $64/person at first but there was a 1-for-1 promo!

left: uncle jim, mommy, me (with 0% makeup cos i was moody that day) and sis

right: aunt ju, grandpa, grandma, grandparents' church friend - aunty helen

our table was in the only private room in the restaurant that has tatami seats!

my first time dining while sitting on the floor but it was a fun experience i must say.

the food was really good, thick slices of fatty sashimi dipped in wasabi soy sauce ooooh~

had a few servings of the grilled unagi as well because i LOVE unagi, i never get sick of it.

the dishes are very much like Kuishinbo's but here, the waitresses served us the food.

had a great time tasting all the dishes on the extensive menu...

i really love the salmon, soft shell crab and the sashimi~ yum yum!

after desserts, i took out the huge birthday card that i bought for Grandpa.

in it were well-wishes written by my family members. :)

look at how happy grandpa is... haha!

camwhoring with the card. and i look so horrible without makeup but OH WELL.

without makeup still got the camwhore in me mah, hee!

left the place full and satisfied! it was really a nice dinner, thanks Grandpapa!

8. i can think about the things i want to buy/spend on after i get my pay. and they include:

this is the bento that i brought to work for lunch today! :)

i had 2 raisin scones (claire baked them!), honey stars, cheese crackers and gem biscuits.

along with it came a banana and a small scoop of strawberry jam for the scones~

surprisingly, i was super full after emptying the wholeeee bento, hahaha.

told myself to make it a habit to bring bento to work for at least 3 days a week.

at least i'm limited to only eat a fixed portion of food and also can save money!

it's actually quite fun to plan what to bring and put inside your own bento...

hahaha, thanks to claire! she's the one who motivated me to do this~

claire.. i want the tiny apples ok!!! :) next week i must buy honeydew & watermelonz!

we talked about what we can put in our bentos during lunchtime.

unagi with rice, ham sandwiches (which claire brought today) and fried rice...

mmmmm, all sounds real yummy and fun to prepare for work hehehe~

ok work is pretty alright. basically we're just there to do the paperwork for them.

filing, stapling, shredding, whatever is paper-related is within our job scope lol.

the work place is quite nice, people are quite slack and our i/c is a nice lady.

today we talked abit to the lady and she mentioned that we'll be getting our pay on every 15th.

weeeee, i passed my basic theory today! :)

think i will only start learning practical next year~

kekeke~ went to meet cutie claire (lol) in town after my test!

we went for dinner at Xing Wang HK Cafe after getting our movie tix for Hairspray.

ordered a thick toast to share and i had the Pork Chop Baked Spaghetti for my main.

the thick toast was YUMMY, but i would have liked it to have more maple syrup!

my baked spaghetti was covered with a thick layer of cheese, too much i would say.

the pork chop was abit hard but the dish tasted pretty special and tasty.

walked around marina square before heading up to the cinema for our movie~

i bought a $6 gold filgree necklace from Diva, love it!!

Hairspray was SO SO SO SO SO GOOD!

i totally enjoyed every minute of it, no kidding.

the beginning of the show was already enough to get me all excited.

the songs were great, the movie is set in the 1960s so everything was very colourful.

Zac Efron was such an eye candy and the female lead, Nikki Blonsky was way too cute!

i've edited the photos from my grandpa's 80th birthday!

photos taken before we left house to cab down to Orchard..

taken when papa was hailing a cab for us... muahaha!

was caught in the traffic jam towards town, reached there around 7.30pm!

the dinner was held at Club Chinois, Orchard Parade Hotel~

went into the private room that was booked for our family and saw my grandpa!

check out his TALL chair, only he got to sit on this special chair haha.

mingled around with my relatives, mainly my grandpa and grandma's siblings.

the dishes starting coming in at around 8+pm!

FIERCE sis!! lol so funny.. dad is in the camwhoring mood!

yesterday after church, i went to try out Central HK Cafe at TM.

we ordered a honey lemon and iced milk tea as drinks.

and then we had this deep fried tofu with pork floss as side.

i had a seafood baked rice while my sis & mom had the pork chop & chicky chop baked rice.

I REALLY LOVE THEIR FOOD!!!

the honey lemon was really good, not too sweet and has lemon taste to it!

my mom, sis and i totally LOVE the deep fried tofu with pork floss!!!

the tofu was deep fried till it was crispy golden brown and topped with pork floss and garlic.

SUPERB!!! i will go there again to try out other dishes!!

my weekly buy, a polly pocket top - SUPER CUTE! and it was on 20% discount, hee!

ok... my aunty just sms-ed me telling me that my grandpa's treating us to dinner this sat.

cos this sat is my grandpa's actual birthday! we're going for jap buffet.. omg~

i replied her by saying they're feeding me with too much good food la, haha!

this Dim Sum shop is located at Chinatown~

my aunt brought me there to eat + take pictures cos i'm doing a poster for the shop.

it's a place where they take in all the ex-offenders and give them a job + place to stay.

the food served there is REALLY GOOD! especially the zhu chang fen, DAMN YUMMY!

after Dim Sum, made our way to NCC for grandpa's checkup..

gotten myself a job at HSA and i'm going to work with CLAIRE!

and the reason why i'm feeling so high its because i'll have company.

hee, the lady asked if i have another friend who's keen cos she has 2 vacancies!

immediately i called claire up and yes! we're gonna start work on the 30th!

i am sooo looking forward to work there cos i think it's a whole new enviroment!

was telling claire that it'll be soooo fun if we can work in the FORENSICS deparment!

ahhhhh, i've been quite busy for the past few days!

i was slacking my first day of my 10-week holidays on monday.

simply doing nothing but watch tv and do my online stuff~

one word to describe this - SHIOK! hahaha!

and it has been soooo long since i had an afternoon nap!

yesterday i accompanied my grandpa to the doc together with my grandma & aunty.

today, i spent my afternoon at the hospital too cos of grandpa's treatment~

went to attend the Further Education talks by all the 4 local universities

we saw a guy that looks like an ugly version of _____ and laughed like mad.

so far, only SIM, PSB Academy, NTU and NUS got the degree that i wanna pursue!

we skipped the UniSIM talk to go for lunch at our all time fave Mensa for western food.

Chef's Salad to share, Janet had the chicky chop while I had the mushroom linguine~

the talk finished at around 4pm and we headed down to aljunied.

last weekend.. the day i had a taste of the highly raved about donuts from Donut Factory~

*excited excited* queued for about 1/2 an hour over at the Suntec City branch.

the babes and i bought a total of 6 dozen donuts!!

2 boxes for ah soon, 2 boxes for ourselves, 1 box for janet's colleaques and 1 box for hao~

headed over to Starbucks for a drink and to get a taste of our dodos!

ah soon and his friends gobbled up 2 dozen of dodos in.. an hour or so? =X

weeeee~ after chilling, went off for Sy Roger's talk with the babes!

we learnt one important lesson out of the talk - DON'T BE ANXIOUS!

my family celebrated my 19th birthday earlier for me today.

we had a sumptous dinner at Spring Court @ Chinatown!

my grandparents & aunt gave me a $190 red packet which symbolises 19 years of age~

it acts as a "credit card" and i had to foot the bill for the night.

and then i get to keep the remaining $$ as my birthday present!

i don't know how to thank my family. all i can say is i am so BLESSED & LOVED! :)

time to update on my weekends!

i love the weekends. i get to rest, go out and not get cooped up in the office!

ok, let's start off with some pictures i took of my grandfolk's garden~

i was watching TV in the hall when i saw these pretty looking flowers, alot of them!

the shots turned out quite nice right?! i used my camera's macro function.

and for the first time i could capture the blur background with a focused object nicely!

spent my afternoon there, my grandma cooked Curry Chicken Noodles for lunch~

and then we went out for dinner at night.. supposed to eat Dim Sum!

but couldn't find the shop that my aunt's friend recommended her.

LOL, so in the end (after much driving in circles), we ended up at this old chinese restaurant.

my aunt was so lazy to drive around again so we settled our dinner there~

ordered a few dishes to go along with white rice + hor fun & fried rice to share..

hehe, isn't the genie thingy cute? they used it to hold the Sweet & Sour sauce!

IKEA with my chapati buddies! went there solely for the FOOD! hahaha!

we had a plate of 10 meatballs each + chicken wings & apple pie to share~

i bought my first tube of Vaseline Lip Theapy Petroleum Jelly last week~

and i really love it! this really helps moisturize my lips like no other lip balm.

after using it for merely 4 days, i no longer have cracked and dry lips!

woohoo.. i used to have dry skin peeling out of my lips all the time.

after using this, i can feel my lips are really moisturized and i can say goodbye to dry lips! :)

haha this is such a random post but i'm feeling so happy cos i got smooth lips now. :P

both my colleaques were ill last friday (one on MC, one left early) so i snapped some shots!

and so we had our dinner at Cafe Cartel @ Plaza Singapura as planned!

i had the Turkey Bacon Sandwich and I TOTALLY LOVED & ENJOYED IT!

it was soooo yummy, and the serving was huge as you can see from the pictures below.

look carefully, the top layer has bacon & turkey and the bottom layer has EGG MAYO!

it was really deeeelicious.. there was also onion in it adding that extra OOMPH~

Claire & Janet had the signature dish.. St. Louis Pork Ribs! hugeass serving~

Tinggy had Seafood Pasta.. looks yummy too~

after dinner, we did some shopping around at Daiso before starting our phototaking session.

we gave Tinggy two cute plushies for her birthday!~

18th May - Claire's birthday celebration.. went to Bakerzin to makan~

i had the Spaghetti with Meatballs and a Passion Fruit soda. nothing fantastic.

30th May, next day was a public holiday so i went to Storm for my haircut!

weeee, my bangs are back! it's irritating yes, but i still like it for a change.

baked rice for dinner at Century Square. Lotsa ingredients but taste not strong enough.

Vesak Day itself.. went over to Marina Square for abit of shopping.

but mainly it was to bring both my sis and my mp3 players to Creative for repair.

i like these two photos cos of the flowers! no prizes for guessing where we took it. :P

met up with my grandfolks & aunt ju then we headed down to SSC for our dinner!

actually we planned to have BBQ food (which i was craving for) that night.

but we chanced upon the international buffet spread and it looked SOOO GOOD!

so we had the buffet instead. andddd, i got to satisfy my sashimi craving mmmm~

come to think of it, i only ate 2 pathetic prawns that night grrrr!

taken on the way home.. my sis & i were competing to see who can take the nicest picture!

we twisted and turned the camera while we snapped all these hahaha.

we made use of colourful lighted signboards and street lights along the way.

1st June.. finally got to meet-up with my Chapati Buddies!

hehehe, had dinner at Pizza Hut cos i had a free Hawaiian pizza voucher.

ooooh, i absolutely LOVE the drumlets!!!!! i can eat twenty at a go, HAHA.

it was a cheesy meal with lotsa chit chat & catching up with the buddies.

our next meet-up will be Ikea Meatballs and Din Tai Fung xiao long baos!

3 of us have come to realised.. out of so many meet-ups..

we've not been to a foodcourt or coffeeshop or hawker centre for our meals!

LOL.. i think we ought to change this habit. BUT we're such food lovers, cannot help it~

i drove yesterday! hahaha ya right. this scene will come true soon i hope! *beams*

you know when you were young, and your parents asked you what's your ambition?

and occupations like police, lawyer, teacher, doctor will pop up instantly.

but now, all my childhood ambitions (one was to be a gynae LOL) are not what i like anymore.

well, i've come to realised that it is high time to set my career path now.

i am gonna hit the big 20 next year and i guess my future is really in my own hands now.

i've been putting alot of thoughts on this for a few weeks already.

so much so that i can't wait to get out of poly to start on the new phase of my life.

if i wanna pursue my ideal lifestyle i have in mind, i got to work rreeaallyy hard!

i've decided which degree i wanna take up and which industry i am interested to work in.

snagging a rich husband, marry early and be a tai tai is unrealistic so i'm putting that aside :P

here's what i plan to do and have in mind after i graduate from poly next Feb.

take up degree course in SIM becos local unis are almost impossible to get in with my GPA.

my first choice would be the BA in Communication - Read more about it here.

i really wish to work in the media industry.. cos i find it interesting and full of perks, haha.

anything along the lines of branding, events planning or advertsing would be fine too!

hahaha.. i sound like someone's employing me already~ *shakes head*

well, the goal i have set for myself would be.. get my own car in 5 years' time!!!

i know some might find me thinking abit too far but yes i do wish to stick by my goal.

3 years of uni and then saving my ass off for 2 years before getting my own vehicle.

hopefully, all goes well according to my plan.. do give me suggestions/opinions alright! :)

would love to hear advice from my loveliest friends.

PS. yes i know most of your advice will be: GO BOOK YOUR BTT FIRST! HAHA.

yet another week has passed by us! time for me to summarise the week.

well, work has been okay so far, with very minimal work given to us each day.

sometimes i am just on MSN the whole day chatting with my classmates lol.

only interesting was that we (my team mates & i) went to the herb garden on tuesday morning.

we had to re-draw the whole design layout because the previous one was wrong.

spent about an hour there to draw our the layout and names of the plants.

right now i still cannot start on my work because the gardener has not pass me the info!

met up with my beloved crazies babies for dinner last night!

people who went were janet, claire, tinggy, nigel, hao and myself.

the guys tagged along because they wanted to go out so we asked 'em to join us lol.

we had dinner at Bakerzin @ Paragon and i don't have much to compliment them.

firstly they don't serve ice water, secondly the food didn't taste as good as i've expected.

as i have mentioned before, i detests restaurants that don't serve ice water.

soooo, Bakerzin is officially striked off my "can-visit-again" restaurant list.

well i guess the company made up for it! i laughed too much over dinner, hahaha.

i have made up 80% of my mind to head to KL for a short getaway after my SIP!

i even decided on which hotel i would like to stay in when i go there already haha.

don't know if i can ever persuade my dad to let me go without him nagging at me.

but my mom is willing to let me go and even sponsor my trip as my birthday present! :)

we ordered the Onion Loaf and Baked Potato Skin as sides.

i ordered the spicy ribs but it was totally not spicy at all, haha.

yesterday, my supervisor brought me and my SIP team mates out for lunch!

we took a cab down to tampines mall and down to the basement we went.

my supervisor then asked us to choose between Crystal Jade, Genki Sushi or Fish & Co.!

lol, in the end we went to Fish & Co. and i had the New York Fish & Chips set lunch~

ahhhhh, i think i've gotten a rreeaallyy good supervisor! she's really soo nice to us!

whenever she goes for meetings, she would say to us:

"bye children, i'm going for my meeting now!"

haha, ain't she cute! conversation over lunch with her was also quite good! :)

my Liason Officer came down to check on us yesterday morning too.

she was relatively happy with our progress and gave us some compliments!

haha, she even said that she might recommend our project for the IT project show.

well i really think that my team mates have done a GREAT job on the 3D part.

the 3D enviroment really looks like the REAL herb garden in our school.

will let you guys have a look if i have a chance to print screen it, hehe!

it's a monday afternoon at work and i'm FAMISHED!

gonna go hand up the sentosa project over at Design school first.

over the weekend, me & my aunt whipped up pasta! woohoo~

it's the BEST so far out of all the pastas we've cooked before, heh!

the mushroom pasta was most well-received by my family! hahaha!

my grandma (the executive chef) gave us the thumbs up, yeah!

they were craving for more after their first plate.

weeeee! it's finally FRIDAY, weekends here i come!

work was fine today, basically i'm working on two projects.

one is to create a virtual version of TP's herb garden.

it's basically an online and animated version of the herb garden and its herbs.

the final product will be released to public and they are able to visit the garden.

i'm in charge of creating the individual herbs' data pages in Flash.

and my two other team mates are doing the 3D animation introduction.

the other project is very simple, which is to enhance e-learning powerpoint slides.

hahaha, we're given boring and simple powerpoint slides that have been done up.

and then we're supposed to add in animation, clipart, photos, music, background etc.

today, my supervisor bought lunch from parkway thai restaurant for us!!! :)

we were supposed to go out for lunch but she had a meeting so we had it in office instead.

and along with the lunch, she also replenished our snack stock with a pack of choc wafers.

hi everyone! :)

today's the 3rd day of my attachment!

so far, it has been quite good, no hiccups as of yet haha.

my supervisor, she a really really NICE and KIND lady~

she treats me & my SIP team (there's 3 of us including me) very well, like her own kids haha.

her name's Ms Chee and she's very lenient on rules and stuff.

so basically my "office" is a meeting room located in the Applied Science School staff room.

it's a really simple room when i first stepped in on mon, with 3 tables + 3 desktops.

but now, my supervisor has brought in 3 more tables for us to do group meetings and draw etc.

she also gave us her mini fridge (it's hot red in colour!) for us to put our cold drinks in it.

and there are ALOT of chairs, like 8 rolling chairs in total in the room, hahaha!

we also have a whiteboard.. which i doodled on and wrote our SIP daily countdown.

so it has been a short 3 days that i've been to work and i have no complains!

just that sometimes it gets abit boring cos my supervisor doesn't pile us with heavy workload lol.

yesterday & today, she bought us tea time snacks at around 4pm!

i guess all these makes up for not having an SIP allowance.. the people i deal with are nice! :D

my aunt drove to the Sentosa Cove.. it's a huge piece of land indeed!

i can't wait for all the buildings to be built.. guess it's gonna be really pretty~

we wanted to buy the tickets for the new Musical Fountain laser show.

but the 7.40pm show was already sold out at 6pm (we were there at 7pm)!

dropped the idea of catching the show and went to take the tram instead haha.

just for the fun of it since we're already in Sentosa! the scenery was nice!

i've not been to Sentosa in the evening before.. love the colour of the sky!

after Sentosa, we headed to Vivo City cos my sis needed a change of size for her dress.

as always, Vivo City never fails to bring out the shopaholic in me!

i LOVE LOVE LOVE River Island omgzzzzzz! their clothes are DAMN PRETTYYY.

my aunt's a regular customer at Club Marc so the sales assistants were really friendly to us.

they brought in like.. at least 15 outfits of dresses/skirts/tops for my sis to try on.

we spent like almost 1.5 hours in there~ *faints*

out of sooooooo many clothes she tried, i love these 2 dresses on her the most!

BUTTTT, in the end she chose the little black dress that my aunt gave her in the first place.

LOL, she just changed the size! my grandpa almost dozed off in the shop hahahaha.

i really had a great day yesterday! :) what a wonderful end to my holidays...

made a trip back to school today for the pre-SIP briefing~

my morning was screwed cos i was late in meeting my lecturer for the Sentosa project.

ANDDDDD, i realised i FORGOT to bring my project with me when i was at the bus stop..

in the end me & the babes went for the briefing first before meeting Ernest at 11.30am!

so now our project and presentation is all done.. we have yet to rehearse our presentation.

aiyoyo! we were supposed to do it today, but we ended up having lunch over at KFC, ha!

i'm finally starting my attachment next monday.. another 6 more days to go!

coming to think of it, i'm actually quite excited and geared up for everything to start.

i've been lazing around far too much this vacation.. it's all about eating, shopping, relax~

need to get some work done before my brain gets rusty, hahaha.

i guess i'll be learning alot in these 16 weeks.. can't wait can't wait~

oh ya.. i'm glad i still can make it for cell every week! :)

i was so afraid i'll get posted to some far far away offices that will stop me from going to cell.

btw, i just realised that during my attachment period, there are a few dates to look forward to!

i invited AL to church for the service.. we had Subway for lunch!

the service was fantastic.. we were shown a video called Heaven's Gates & Hell's Flames.

the video featured both believers and non-believers and where they go to after death.

i am soo glad that i have decided to rededicate my life to Jesus.. the one & only! :)

DIY @ ZX's

i went to ZX's house yesterday after meeting the lecturer in charge of our sentosa project.

he gave us the thumbs up for our presentation and lotsa compliements for our idea.

sewing over at ZX's place was interrupted by me checking my internship results online.

i was quite sad when i realised i'm gonna be attached in school (TP) without any pay.

here's what my whole attachment will be all about.. it's under the School of Applied Science~

Attachment Period - 23rd Apr to 10th Aug

but soon i got over it cos i know that God has a plan for me, He will provide.. YES!!!

cell group at night over at Alicia's and her maid cooked alot of stuff for us to eat, haha!

Chapati Buds Dinner

i went to meet my lovely chapati buds for dinner just now!

we had a nice meal over at Pasta Mania and AL told us she'll pay the total using NETS.

i was about the return her the $$$ when she told us the meal is a treat from her!

so touched by her actions! i told them about my sentosa project and the grand prize.

and then i promised them a good meal treat if my group wins the $10,000! :)

Bourjois has a new mascara yet again! really couldn't resist the nice packinging so i got it!

Bourjois never fails to tempt me with their mascaras & packaging...

a small amount of shopping really makes me HAPPY :)

phew! this past week has been hectic but fun at the same time!

went for the poly cell chalet on Mon & Tues with ZX~

at first i was really lazy and i only wanted to go just for the BBQ.

the BBQ on Mon night was really fun! i got to meet lotsa new people from church.

i have never seen them in church before but it's really nice to meet all of them.

me & ZX kept ourselves busy by skewing the hotdogs & mashmellows.

thereafter, the guys started two BBQ pits so we started cooking!

hahaha.. we peng-kan-ed salmon, satay, otah and many more~

we also got to know a few people from the other poly cell a lil more thru the BBQ!

the night ended after a round of worship and some newspaper ball game.

on Tuesday, we went down at noon and played games alllll the way till 10+pm at night!

it was damn tiring BUT i really really had loads of fun..

it has been ages since i've been to a camp/chalet and get to make new friends.

i really have to thank the Lord for placing me in a cell and give me a sense of belonging.

despite the backsliding a few years ago, He did not give me up at all!

*when sin abounds, grace superbounds* THIS IS SUPER TRUE.

instead, i find myself getting back on track and getting more involved.

of course, i gotta thank ZX's constant nagging too! haha.. she nagged me all the way into cell~

yesterday i went over to my aunt's condo, Costa Del Sol to help out with the moving.

she's gonna have a new tenant coming in so the new furniture was moved in yesterday.

took a bus over to my grandfolks' place in the morning.. had my Mac bagel breakfast!

didn't exactly help much other than carrying things, cleaning up the place..

hahaha~ lunch @ killiney kopitiam before going back to the condo for more cleaning up.

but i end up watching TV and helping my aunt do abit of housework here and there~

dinner at Giant and did a lil shopping there before they sent me back home at 11pm!

oh yeah! i think i only told this piece of GOOD NEWS to germz & zx last night.

yesterday while i was out, janet rang me up and she sounded so excited~

she informed me that our C&E project got shortlisted by the Sentosa Leisure Group!

and we're up against i think 4 or 5 more groups to get the cash prize of $2000!

am making a trip back to school on fri with janet to see what we'll have to do next.

it'll really be nice if we can win the $2000 cold hard cash.. hahaha!

although it'll be divided among 5 group members, it's better than nothing mah! :P

i got germz a pair of earrings from Chomel.. it's in a lovely shade of purple, i like. :)

mommy had a 1-for-1 sundae voucher so we had 2 portions of eye-scream for dessert!

i love these endless shopping sprees & outings during this holiday..

it's like a complete break for me! rewarding myself for working hard during the school sem.

4 more weeks of fun before i get my ass off to work for 16 whole weeks!

my neck's aching real badly.

i've edited the photos we took on AL's birthday celebration..

you all better be grateful that i took the time & effort to do this, haha!

this is the huge birthday card i made for ailing..

i painted it from scratch! cos i had so much time haha~

crazy shopping at Marina Square before dinner..

AL bought herself sooo many birthday presents that day!

zara.. dorothy perkins.. diva.. you name it, she bought it, LOL.

my hauls were only bangles from Diva ($2.50 omgz!) and nail polish from Missha~

dinner at Kenny Rogers ... mmmm, i can't get enought of the cheese macoroni~

i was seated against the sunlight.. that's why i look like i'm in HEAVEN, hahaha!

strolled to Esplanade after our dinner and shopping..

i was supposed to go light up the candles of the cake at the Roof Terrace..

but it was closed on that day due to some performance! -_-

in the end, had to lure ailing away before i found a nice spot outside the Esplanade~

Trish & me met up earlier that day without AL's knowing to get her the cake.

PPG is too cute to not buy for AL.. hehehe~

oh! i added a collage at the bottom of the card cos it was quite empty!

both presents fitted AL just right!

today, i was out shopping with AL at Daiso..

the queue at the cashier was pretty long cos there was only one counter opened.

an uncle was behind me in the queue, holding a few items on hand.

when it was my turn to pay, i had to use NETS to pay for my 2 items.

why was that so? because i didn't have cash. like, DUH!!!!!!!!!!

and so.. what did that fookin' uncle said to the cashier sacarstically behind my back?

"ya.. use cash can already, no need to hold up the queue by using NETS!"

"must wait so long..so slow!" something along that line. MAN WAS I PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and that bloody NETS machine at Daiso took quite long to process too~

WTF. i was damn pissed with the fookin' uncle. that old, rude and ill-mannered bastard.

i deliberately took my OWN SWEET TIME TO KEY IN MY PIN NUMBER.

he should REALLY learn to SHUT UP and master the virtue of patience.

my vacation is finally here! :)

major picture post because i feel so free now, hahaha~

went for lunch at the newly opened hk cafe over at White Sands with my sis after church.

the food was so-so only! my pork chop rice tasted sweet.. cos of some sauce they put inside.

my sis's beef patty tasted quite nice at first bite but after that it became quite tasteless!

maybe they never marinate long enough? =X haha~ the lemon tea was good though~

on the day of my piano exam.. went for lunch & shopping with my mommy at parkway~

ajisen ramen for lunch cos my mommy was craving for it, hahaha!

food was not bad.. i LOVE LOVE LOVE the baby octopus! it was still cold when served!

went back to school yesterday with Janet a.k.a AH DU~

lunch at the cafe first (we saw Gold Medallist) before heading to the library to study.

after finish copying my notes, we took the train right to the end of the East West line.

JURONG! haha.. went there to collect our free webcam from the Creative HQ.

headed to Marina Square for some window shopping and dinner thereafter.

had dinner at Kenny Rogers.. they revamped their menu and ordering system~

we no longer have to go queue up to order.. the waiters will order for you and bring the food.

AND... they do not serve ice water! omg.. i hate restaurants that do not serve ice water.

other than the ice water part, i still like the ambience and the food.. the portions were HUGE!

i tried the Roasted Chicken Pita set since i had the chicken the previous time i dined there~

there was cheese, salad sauce, lotsa lettuce/tomatoes/onions and roasted chicken in the pita.

have been craving real badly for their CHEESE MACARONI! hehehe.. finally got to eat it!

i will definitely go back there again.. there's a few more new items on the menu i wish to try.

i actually have lotssss of photos from my camera BUT my memory card has some stupid error!

i couldn't load the pictures.. had to format my memory card before being able to use it again.

so ALL the photos taken yesterday were ERASED! :(

sorry janet.. i will take lotsa photos of you the next time we go out.. hehe!
